Position Overview:
The Project Management Lead will be responsible for overseeing and managing the execution of energy management projects for industrial manufacturing clients. This role requires strong leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams and ensure the successful delivery of projects within budget, scope, and timelines. The Project Management Lead will work closely with stakeholders, including engineers, consultants, clients and vendors to ensure that energy-saving solutions are efficiently implemented and aligned with the client’s sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
- Lead and manage end-to-end project delivery for energy management solutions in the industrial manufacturing sector.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and external vendors to define project scope, objectives, timelines and resources.
- Develop detailed project plans and schedules, ensuring clear milestones and deliverables.
Energy Management Strategy:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their energy management needs, challenges, and sustainability goals.
- Oversee the design and implementation of energy management strategies, focusing on energy optimisation, cost reduction and sustainability.
- Ensure that projects align with the latest industry standards, best practices and regulatory requirements related to energy management.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage project budgets, ensuring financial resources are effectively allocated and used efficiently.
- Track and report on project progress, ensuring all milestones are met within budget and time constraints.
- Identify and mitigate risks to the project budget and timeline.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks and opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and status updates to clients and senior management.
- Ensure client satisfaction through regular check-ins and feedback loops.
Team Collaboration and Leadership:
- Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities are established.
- Facilitate collaboration between technical experts, engineers, and business development teams to achieve project objectives.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members and promote a positive, collaborative work culture.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor energy performance metrics and project outcomes to assess the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
- Prepare detailed reports on energy savings, efficiency improvements and sustainability outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to the refinement of internal processes.
Compliance and Quality Control:
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant environmental and energy efficiency standards, including ISO, LEED and other industry certifications.
- Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure the delivery of high-quality energy solutions.
- Stay informed on emerging trends, technologies, and regulations in energy management.
Competencies and Skills:
- Project Management Expertise: Strong project management skills with experience leading complex projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or PMP is preferred.
- Energy Management Knowledge: In-depth understanding of energy management systems, energy efficiency, renewable energy solutions, and sustainability practices in the manufacturing sector.
- Problem-solving & Critical Thinking: Ability to analyse complex problems, identify solutions, and make decisions to keep projects on track.
- Leadership & Team Management: Proven ability to lead diverse teams, build relationships, and motivate others toward achieving project goals. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Budget & Resource Management: Experience managing project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively to deliver successful outcomes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Strong ability to manage relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
- Risk Management: Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact project success.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with energy management software, data analytics tools, and industry-specific technologies. Basic knowledge of engineering principles related to energy optimisation is a plus.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of energy-related regulatory frameworks, industry standards, and certifications (e.g., ISO, LEED).
- Continuous Improvement Mindset: Focus on optimizing project processes, fostering innovation, and integrating lessons learned for future project success.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Energy Management, or a related field. A master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on energy management solutions or industrial manufacturing projects.
- Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), LEED Accreditation, or other relevant certifications in energy management or sustainability are highly preferred.

Salary Grade: €79,545 – €97,221
